Brain Type Quiz · V1 Design Brief

Seven & Seven / Seven Minute Reset. A short Brain Type Quiz for drained leaders. Separate from the Brain Capital Scorecard (16q). Afternoon Rebound stays frozen.

Status: Draft design brief only Live quiz: Not built yet Credentials: LPC-S, BCN, BCB

B) 10 candidate Brain Types

Use these names and lines exactly for V1. Do not invent alternate names. Each type maps to one Seven Minute Reset habit as the easiest next lever.

Type 01

Steady Driver

You deliver under pressure, but you skip the resets that keep quality high.

Strengths
Keeps shipping when others stall; reliable under baseline load.
Sabotages
Treats recovery as optional; runs on fumes until quality slips.
Feeds
Clear priorities, short protected focus blocks, walking meetings.
Drains
Constant context-switch, late-night "one more hour," skipping meals.
Easiest next lever: Fuel and Move (water, protein, short walk)
Type 02

Afternoon Crasher

Your mornings are strong; the afternoon dip is a system problem, not a character flaw.

Strengths
Strong mornings; high clarity when rested and fed.
Sabotages
2-3pm crash that gets blamed on willpower.
Feeds
Timed afternoon reset, protein + water, light movement before the crash window.
Drains
Skipped lunch, back-to-back meetings through the dip, extra caffeine stacked on empty.
Easiest next lever: Afternoon Reset (energy/focus check + 7-min rebound)
Type 03

Wired Finisher

You shine at the finish line, then stay wired when your body needs to wind down.

Strengths
Comes alive under deadline; late focus can be elite.
Sabotages
Wired-but-tired nights; poor wind-down wrecks tomorrow's brain.
Feeds
Hard stop ritual, dim lights, decide-once evening list.
Drains
Phone in bed, caffeine after mid-afternoon, "I'll sleep when it's done."
Easiest next lever: Wind-Down Runway (wired-but-tired)
Type 04

Overstimulated Scanner

Your radar is sharp; too much input turns that gift into fog.

Strengths
Notices nuance, risk, and what's off in a room fast.
Sabotages
Notification and sensory load shreds attention.
Feeds
Quiet blocks, fewer open tabs, controlled input windows.
Drains
Open office noise, Slack always-on, doomscroll between tasks.
Easiest next lever: Phone Friction (make scroll harder)
Type 05

Deep Focus Tunnel

You can disappear into hard work, then hit empty without noticing the cliff coming.

Strengths
Can lock in and finish hard work others avoid.
Sabotages
Misses body signals; hyperfocus then sudden empty tank.
Feeds
Timed deep work with exit alarms, hydration, stretch breaks.
Drains
No breaks, ignored hunger, "just finish this" past the cliff.
Easiest next lever: Focus Block (one task, no tabs)
Type 06

Decision Drainer

You choose well when fresh; by midday, tiny decisions have spent the fuel.

Strengths
Thoughtful choices when bandwidth is high.
Sabotages
Decision fatigue by midday; small choices steal CEO fuel.
Feeds
Decide-once lists, defaults, batching low-stakes choices.
Drains
Open calendars, endless options, re-deciding the same thing.
Easiest next lever: Decide-Once List
Type 07

Momentum Sprinter

You ignite fast; the hard part is still standing on day 4.

Strengths
Starts fast; great ignition energy for new projects.
Sabotages
Inconsistent follow-through; streaks die after day 3.
Feeds
Tiny daily wins, visible streak, accountability check-ins.
Drains
Oversized day-1 plans, all-or-nothing thinking, silent failure.
Easiest next lever: Re-score and Lock the Streak
Type 08

Shutdown Protector

When load gets too high, your system hits flat as a safety brake.

Strengths
Body forces a stop before bigger damage; survival wisdom.
Sabotages
Goes flat, numb, or checked-out when overloaded.
Feeds
Soft re-entry, shorter days, safety cues (walk, breath, one ally).
Drains
Push-through culture, shame about rest, piled-on urgency.
Easiest next lever: Fuel and Move (water, protein, short walk)
Type 09

Social Battery Leader

You lead well in short bursts; stacked people-time empties the tank first.

Strengths
Reads people; leads well in short high-touch bursts.
Sabotages
People load drains them faster than solo task load.
Feeds
Buffer time between meetings, solo recovery blocks, written updates.
Drains
Back-to-back calls, networking stacks, always-on availability.
Easiest next lever: Focus Block (one task, no tabs)
Type 10

Rebound Ready

You already know what works; the gap is protecting the system when life gets loud.

Strengths
Notices dips early and uses short resets well.
Sabotages
Can coast on "I'm fine" and skip the system that works.
Feeds
Habit stack, weekly re-score, protecting the resets that work.
Drains
Travel chaos, dropped routines, "I'll restart Monday."
Easiest next lever: Re-score and Lock the Streak

C) Scoring dimensions (internal)

Four axes, each scored 0-3 from answers. Map highest axes to primary type. Secondary type optional if scores are close.

1. Energy timingMorning peak vs afternoon crash vs night wired
2. Stimulation loadUnderstimulated vs overstimulated
3. Regulation stateSteady / wired-tired / flat-shutdown
4. Follow-through styleSteady / sprinter / decision-heavy

Optional field (OFF by default)

Date of birth: Quiet backend only if Trevor later approves. Never label as astrology. Researcher found no DOB requirement on Amen / Priestley / chronotype behavioral quizzes. Keep OFF for V1.

E) Result-page outline

Amen + Priestley shape. Soft value first, then Day 1 unlock.

  1. Brain Type Report: named Brain Type + one-line "in plain English"
  2. Strengths / Sabotages cards
  3. What feeds vs drains (internal stimuli + external stimuli)
  4. Your easiest next lever mapped to one of the 7 habits below
  5. Soft CTA: Start Seven & Seven / Seven Minute Reset Day 1 (not "join a challenge" as the lead)
  6. Secondary: Brain Capital Scorecard / book path as later deepen (not primary)
  7. Disclaimer footer (see bottom of this page)

Day / Habit map (working labels)

  1. Afternoon Reset (energy/focus check + 7-min rebound)
  2. Focus Block (one task, no tabs)
  3. Decide-Once List
  4. Wind-Down Runway (wired-but-tired)
  5. Phone Friction (make scroll harder)
  6. Fuel and Move (water, protein, short walk)
  7. Re-score and Lock the Streak

F) Funnel note

~5 min Brain Type Quiz → Brain Type Report + tips → email gate → Day 1 unlock

Priestley / Amen pattern. Live quiz is NOT built yet. This page is the brief only. Separate from Brain Capital Scorecard (16q). Do not merge funnels in V1.

G) Open decisions for Trevor / Cat

1. Keep 10 types or cut to 6-8?
2. DOB field on or off? (Recommend: off for V1)
3. Primary CTA = Seven Minute Reset only, or also Scorecard?
4. Leigh voice pass by Cat before any public quiz UI?
